Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service and keep you informed:
- Waitlist sign-ups: Your email address, the part of the site you signed up from, and the date and time you signed up.
- Account details: Information you give us when you create or update an account, such as your name, email address and profile details.
- Learning activity: The courses you view and buy, your progress, quiz results and certificates.
- Payments: Payments are processed by Paystack. We receive confirmation of your purchase, but your card details are entered with, and handled by, Paystack under its own privacy terms.
- Device information: Your device ID, which we use to enforce the single-device policy and protect course content, as described in our Terms of Service.
- Messages: Whatever you tell us when you contact us or ask for support.
How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Service, and to personalise your learning and recommendations.
- To process purchases and refunds, and to issue your certificates.
- To enforce the device policy and protect course content from unauthorised distribution.
- To email you about the launch and about the Service, including updates you asked for on the waitlist.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To keep the Service secure and to prevent misuse or fraud.
- To meet our legal and financial reporting obligations.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails until we have told you about the launch or you ask us to remove you. Account information is kept while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove the data you provided, although some information may be retained as required for financial reports and third-party services.
Your rights and choices
- Access and correction: Ask us what we hold about you and have it corrected.
- Deletion: Email scholararkhq@gmail.com, clearly stating that you want your account and data deleted.
- Emails: Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email, or by writing to us.
- Consent: Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it whenever you like.
We handle personal data in line with applicable data protection laws, including, where it applies, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Children and young people
The Service is intended for people aged thirteen (13) or older. If you are under eighteen (18), you need the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use it, and they are responsible for supervising your activity.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed, and we will let you know about significant changes.
